SPIRIT GUIDES

When I was a young girl, I was playing at the park by myself. Where I was playing was by a big tree at the edge of a hill, and sticking out of the ground at the base of the tree that was on the top of the slope was this pipe shaped like an upside-down, kinda square “U”. I was standing on the pipe playing “ballerina”. I then faced the tree with my back to the slope when I lost my footing, and had already began falling backwards. But suddenly, I found myself actually leaning back in mid-air. Someone or something held me from falling backwards, and then pushed me back up where I was able to gain my ground! I felt so grateful that whom or whatever that unseen force was, prevented me from falling backwards down the slope and getting hurt! (By Michelle)

The Huge Wooden Reel

One early afternoon, we were at a big family party in Waialua. All of us kids were in the front yard playing. In the yard was a huge wooden reel that you’d see on construction sites that big cables are wounded around. Some of the kids were rolling the wooden reel back and forth. And when it was being pushed over to another group of kids on the other end, it had ran over something on the yard, causing it to roll up and landing on the ground. Just so happen, I was running and had fallen on the ground. Laying on the ground, on my back from the fall, the wooden reel came right for me, but somehow, quick as a flash, I was able to touch it with both my feet and both hands, as it literally flew right above and over me, then ‘boom’ it landed on the ground above my head. All the kids froze for a moment from what happened. That’s when I felt someone must have been watching over me at that time. (By Dan)

My Spirit Guide

I am a psychic medium and years ago before I discovered what my abilities were about, I discovered my spirit guide that would come and tell me soon before experiencing a spirit. It helped me a lot to have her around, especially when I was growing up because being able to experience spirits is like feeling alone in the world. You can’t really tell anybody about it or if you’re feeling scared you can’t find comfort with anyone because chances are they’ll think something is wrong with you, or you have a wild imagination or something. So having my spirit guide there with me, made me feel like I wasn’t alone, and it was a good thing to get like a “heads up” before an experience, so you can “brace yourself”. (By Keoki)

The Protective Voice

I remember hearing ‘someone’ tell me not to go past our front yard one night, but it wasn’t a regular person who told me. Well one night, I just happened to be outside the front yard, and something down the street caught my eye. It was a man ghost! I saw him wave to me, then he waved for me to ‘come’. I did remember what that strange ‘someone’ told me about not going past our front yard, but at the same time, I was really curious to see what the man spirit wanted to show me, as he pointed to a place he was near but I couldn’t see because it was on the same side of the street as my house. And when he kept pointing, it caused me to have to go past my front yard to see. So to not ‘break the rule’ I stepped outside the border of our front yard, keeping one foot in the yard, so I could get a better look. As soon as I stepped one foot out of my front yard that man spirit was suddenly flying straight toward me! I quickly ran inside the house, and luckily, never saw him again, whoever he was. And boy did I feel glad that I didn’t disobey that “protective voice”. Well, not entirely. (Anonymous)

My Tour Guide

I don’t know if I have a spirit guide, but one night I was driving home and inadvertently took the wrong turn. I kinda panicked because once before, I almost got lost in that area that has a lot of houses, going round and round neighborhoods. But as I was driving on that ‘wrong street’ wondering where it was going to lead me, I was a little stunned because I heard a voice tell me to keep driving till the end of the street and turn left. I did, and I was wonderfully surprised that, that path the voice told me to go, took me on that street I was supposed to have taken in the first place! (Anonymous)

SPIRIT GUIDES

I used to own a boutique in Kahala Mall. And one day there was this nice lady that came in and we chatted some. Enjoying my company, before she went on her way she said she was from a church and asked my permission to bless my store. I thought that was really nice of her, and agreed. After her blessing she went on her way and I never saw her again. Then just a few days later the mall got flooded from a broken water pipe that made the news. Many stores were water damaged pretty badly. Except mine. The flow of the water mysteriously went right around, leaving my store the only one in that flooded area, unscathed! (Anonymous)

Blessed

This happened a few years ago. Something woke me up from a nap. I thought I heard a male's voice call my name in an aggressive tone but I dream about things a lot so I just woke up thinking it was a dream. An old friend of mine had just passed away the week before. I hadn't seen her in a year and it was something like 5 years since we last hung out. That whole week I kept remembering how my life was back then, who I was around a lot and what I was into at the time. It was just sad to think about how things changed so fast. Anyway, I had a sudden urge to eat lunch and hop online. To my surprise, I received a message from another old friend (who was also friends with the girl who passed on) who just wanted to say hello and did not know our friend passed away the week before. I always meant to catch up this friend but we had a fallout to the point where if I saw him, I would hide or look the other way (hoping my looks changed enough so he wouldn't recognize me). I feel better now. I'm not one to hold grudges and I didn't like holding this one for so long. I almost forgot why I didn't want to speak to or see him. We still talk to this day, and I secretly give credit to my friend who is gone for reuniting us and helping me leave the past behind me. I always wonder if our loved ones know how we feel and think once they're gone. I twitch at the thought, but it looks like they can help. (By Anonymous)

My Old Friend the Spirit Guide?

Pearl Harbor, Halawa Gate

This happened to me when I was stationed at Pearl Harbor Naval Station, standing security Duty at the Halawa gate, where most of the Admirals and Secured Buildings are at. It was known to all of us who stand the watch that the gate we were at was named in memoriam of a young Marine Sergeant who died horribly by the hands of five attackers wanting to get onto base, who eventually over-ran him, took his gun, and shot him to death before his back-ups could get there. There is a picture of him there at the gate to remind all of us of what happens, even when at home in our own country So, I was there... I think it was around 1-1:30 a.m. when I started to get a chill up my back…something just didn't seem right. So I paid more attention to the surrounding where I was, when I noticed a car, traveling slowly with no lights on, approaching the turn lane to enter the gate where I stood watch. Then the car just stopped. We both looked at each other for a long time, maybe 5 minutes, both wondering what the other was planning. I started to reach for the radio when I "felt" a presence beside me. I could not visually see anything or anyone, but I knew what it was. It was the spirit of the young Marine, standing beside me, making sure that nothing was going to happen to anyone else, still manning his post. Soon after the “presence" was felt, the car turned on its lights and sped away. You can see this two ways: 1) the car was lost and was trying to get the bearings, or 2) the car was scoping the area and/or was deciding if they should go and try to get in, and the spirit of the Marine helped them think otherwise. That area of the base has had other sightings of ghosts, as well as Ford Island, and various housing areas. One worth mentioning is the one called, “The Ninja". From what I am told and what others believe, a dark black shadow proceeds to jump from building to building, trying to enter them for unknown reasons. That one is also in the Halawa gate area. This encounter took place the summer of '98, and is still strong in my mind. (By DR Sailor)
