My Friend's Wedding Day

This is something that happened to a Filipino girlfriend of mine on her wedding day. Her fiancé, Damien, also Filipino, was at the house with her and the family getting ready to go to the church. Suddenly, her fiancé's mother collapsed and was carried to the sofa. My friend went to her to see what's wrong, and her soon-to-be mother in-law looking dazed, said, "I am the grandmother of Damien, and I want to speak to him." Everybody screamed and just then, Damien ran into the room and spoke to his "dead" grandmother, through his mother, who was telling Damien to be a good husband and that she loves him. I don't know which was scarier; hearing the dead speak or when everyone screamed! (By Denise)

TV Ghosts

I know it sounds ridiculous, but here it is anyway. Once in a while when I'm watching TV alone, I'd see like a face that looks like a lady on the TV screen that is not part of the TV program I was watching. At first I thought I was maybe seeing things or it was some 'technical difficulty', so I didn't pay much attention to it. Until it happened again. Two more times. The face is a little blurry but you can distinguish the eyes, nose, and mouth, and it pretty much looks like the same face. When it happens nobody else was watching TV with me, so, so far I'm the only one that saw the face. My boyfriend thinks I'm nuts, but I know what I saw! (Anonymous)

My Out of Body Experience

I have heard about people having an out of body experience, but thought it was 'hogwash' until I had my own experience. I was relaxing, lying on the couch waiting for my ride to come pick me up to go someplace. I wasn't even asleep or anything, and suddenly I found myself standing outside my house! Then I saw my ride coming just few houses away, and next thing I knew I was back in my body, and that's just when my ride pulled up and honked his horn for me to come outside! (By S.K.)

One time my family and I just got home from buying dinner at Burger King. As I was walking to the front door with my daughter, I spilled my soda. I was like "Aw man" then I thought about it and I could drink my boyfriend's soda. Then when he came to the front door, he saw my soda on the floor. Then he asked me "did you just spill your soda?" and I said yea why. He said, "When I was by the truck earlier I heard you yell cause you spilled your soda." So I was like no, because I just dropped it right before you came. So we're thinking he had a vision of me spilling my soda before I even dropped it. (By Anonymous)

A Premonition?

When I was 2 months pregnant with my first child, I fainted at my school. All I remember is that I was standing up and started blacking out. Next thing I noticed was I couldn't see but yet I found myself conscious and alert, as if my eyes were open and could see. Then I opened my eyes and all I could see was dirt road, like everywhere, as if I was on a dirt bike track. Then I suddenly could see my mom's feet standing in front of me, saying, "Get up Kelly, get up! It's okay, mom's here now" and then I closed my eyes and reopened them, finding myself near the stairways on the ground. I felt so out of it for a while. I later told my mom about it, and she thought it was weird because around the same time I fainted, I was particularly in her mind. (By Kelly)

My Fainting Spell

We arrived to Hickam AFB in March 2004. We live in base housing in Onizuka Village on Apollo Avenue. If we didn't believe in ghosts before...we sure do now.Just a few things that have happened are hearing footsteps on the stairs at night when no one is there, feeling someone sit on the edge of the bed when no one is there. While sleeping three members of our family have felt their feet being touched. We have had messages left on our answering machine that when you play the message back there are two messages...one over the other one, almost like a whisper. The first time this happened the message said "I need help, he's killing them". All of my neighbors came to hear it for themselves. EVERYONE agreed they had never heard anything like it. One neighbor even took the machine to work to let all her co-workers hear it. The second time this happened the message said "I'm here" over a regular message. Again...all heard by my neighbors We have a digital answering machine. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has had any similar experiences on Hickam. (By L.A.)

Time Missing in Mililani

I get a lot of shaking heads when I tell this story, because they are shaking their heads in either disbelief, or because they think I am nuts. I know there are lots of stories out there about missing time, but I swear I have never heard of this phenomenon until it happened to me. I get a lot of laughs because it’s a well-known fact that when you are engrossed in a video game, you lose track of time, but hear me out and believe me that it wasn't the case! I have played hundreds of video games in my lifetime, and most of them are really engrossing. But have you ever played Myst? Total boredom! Aside from solving puzzles and scratching your head and piecing together strange segments of cryptic messages, this is in no way considered an action game. Far from it. I was playing Myst and I was bored. Bored enough to look up at the clock. It was a little past ten at night. I was thinking I had better go to bed soon. I went back to my video game. I thought I played for only a few minutes, because I could hear birds chirping. How could birds be chirping at 10 p.m.? I looked at the clock for confirmation. It was 6 in the morning! I was stunned. There was no way I could have been sitting in front of the computer for 8 hours! I felt like was in another dimension, somewhere else. This couldn't have happened! I looked at my computer screen for confirmation and my game was pretty much the same as it was when I saw it at 10 p.m. No real advancement, no progression, and definitely not 8 additional hours of play! I am the type of person that doesn't fall asleep on the couch, no matter how tired. I can always get up and go to bed, so I couldn't have fallen asleep in front of the computer. I don't think I passed out, as I was there, in front of my computer, just as you are reading this story. Nothing out of the ordinary, just passing time....or in my case, time passing me. I don't have the memory of what happened in between. It’s all gone. To this day, I have never experienced anything like this. It's never happened again either, and that was back in 1995. Dan was a good friend of Joe, but Dan wasn't around lately since he had a new girlfriend. The day before Joe was flying to Maui for a relative's funeral, Dan showed up at Joe's house. They went to the beach and hung out together. As Dan left, he told Joe to call if he ever needed anything. The next day, Joe and another friend was driving to the airport so Joe could catch his flight to Maui. After driving a short distance, a light rain began to fall. A little while later, the car stalled and wouldn't start again. They were able to get back to Joe's house, but now they he had no ride. Just as they got to Joe's house, another friend drove up and parked. Joe asked him for a ride, but this car, which was driven only minutes earlier, wouldn't start. Desperate, Joe called everyone he knew but something was always wrong; no one at home, car was broken, sister took the car, etc. Then Joe remembered Dan. He would help. Joe called Dan's house. A woman answered and after Joe identified himself and asked for Dan, the woman said that Dan had died, that he had committed suicide. In shock, Joe hung up and one of his friends recalled confirming what had happened. Joe called his relatives on Maui explaining what had happened and told them that he would catch a flight the first thing the next morning. They were able to quickly find a ride and sped out to Dan's house. Joe was let in the house because of his closeness to the family. He got there just as the officials were removing Dan's body. Joe felt that he couldn't find a ride to the airport because Dan didn't want him to leave. After his funeral, Dan visited Joe to tell him that it wasn't anyone's fault that he had committed suicide. When we first got our computer, I used to wonder if spirits would be able to somehow come through the computer, only because once in a while after I'm done being online, I turn the computer off, go to bed, and see something swooshing out of the computer screen or something that's on the outside of the screen and going back in. From where I laid in bed I'd have a side view of the computer. At first I thought maybe I was seeing things, but after few times, I knew that I wasn't just seeing things. I didn't want to tell anybody, no way! So I kept it to myself for couple years. Meantime, I looked around online to see if anyone else was experiencing something similar, and was surprised to find that there were other people. Then whatta ya know, out came the movie, "White Noise" where spirits can come through electronic devices like a computer screen! (Anonymous)

As a child, I picked up the bad habit of sleeping with the covers of the bed over my head. I was always of afraid of something in the closet. Nothing ever bothered me until late in my high school years. One night while sleeping with the covers over my head, I awoke in the middle of the night. As I closed my eyes to get back to sleep, I had a feeling that someone or something was in the room with me. I need to mention hear that I also slept with my door closed. Wanting to pull the covers off to see who or what it was, I found that I couldn't move. I was paralyzed. My breathing became labored as I continued to try to move. Soon, I felt a searing pain in my head. The only way I can describe the pain is that it felt like 2 pieces of metal were grinding together in my brain. Just as the pain became unbearable, I was able to yank the covers off and see that the room was empty. As I lay back down to sleep with covers over my head again, the whole episode would repeat just as I was dozing off. This would go on for 2 or 3 times. Then, instead of happening again, I would fall asleep. This happened to me twice with months separating the 2 events. (By Wahiawaboy)

A Stranger in the Night

What The...?

One afternoon was taking a nap on my bed. Then all of a sudden I woke not being able to breathe or talk. I was aware of my surroundings because I can see my boyfriend walking in and out of my room. So I'm trying to yell for his help but nothing would come out of my mouth. I tried to sit up but it was like something was pushing me back to lay down. As I'm still trying to sit up I just feel a gush of wind blowing on my face as if I was standing in front a huge fan. Then maybe 3-5 minutes everything stopped. I got up in shock and called for my boyfriend. I let him know what just happened and I asked him if he seen me trying to get up. He said he saw me but I was sleeping. So I don't know what just happened because I know I wasn't dreaming because I seen what my boyfriend was doing. Everything was so real! (By K.L.)

What The...?

The four of us decided to drive around the island one night. I was in the front passenger seat. Everything was going fine. We went over the Pali, and then headed towards Kahuku. I don't remember where we were or what time it was but at one point, my friend that was driving accelerated all of a sudden. After awhile, I told him to take it easy and he slowed but still was going fairly fast. We weren't saying much, but I remember talking. For example, I pointed out a police (or maybe a fire) station. My two friends in the back seat did not say a word the whole time. Then as we got to the Kahuku Sugar Mill, we pulled to the side of the road and stopped. Everyone asked the driver what the hell he was doing back there. He said that all he remembers is that he looked up to his left at a house. He saw a woman standing in a window. No big deal except that he says that he saw right through her. Apparently, he clearly saw a Christmas tree with lights right through the lady in the window. He got freaked out and took off. We asked why he stopped here. He said that one of us told him to stop at the sugar mill. Everyone denied saying that and I know I didn't hear no one besides the driver talk that whole time. I asked them how come they were so quiet in the back seat. They said that the two of us in the front seat were the non-talking ones. They said that they were talking to each other. They even said that they asked us what time it was and got no reply. (By Wahiawaboy)

A Stop at Kahuku Sugar Mill

I don't know if you know what kind of ghost these are that I’m about to share with you. I would really like to know what they are called and if you can maybe tell me anything about them. It would help me a great deal. I fear for my friend. He has told me that this black circle it’s almost like a half ball popping out of the wall that travels along the walls and ceiling. It doesn't always follow him all the time it appears once in a while. He has told me he's not scared of it and has tried to touch it, but when he attempts to it moves quickly to somewhere else. He has also said once when he laid in bed it traveled along the wall and down into him he saw n flash of some sort but thought nothing of it he went to sleep. For the rest of the night he had nightmares. It jumps in him at time to time when it is around. That’s what I fear. He thinks it’s a part of him. (By Sophia)

The Black Shadow

One night I accompanied my wife and another couple (our friends) to some spiritual guy's house, talking to our wives about energies or something. Us "guys" were sitting on one side against a wall; me first and my friend next to me, behind. Toward our right, which is where our wives and the spiritual guy was, there's this glass door where I could see all of us in the reflection, and in the relfection I saw this "other guy" sitting to the right of my friend (I was on his left). I kept turning and leaning over to look next to my friend and nobody was there. But I could clearly see him in the reflection! Of course my friend was looking at me, wondering what's up, but I didn't say anything because we didn't believe in all this "ghost stuff" and I didn't want him to think I was seeing "something". In the Reflection

Soon after coming home from the hospital from giving birth to my daughter, my husband went out to do an afternoon errand. While he was gone, my new baby daughter and I was lying on my bed for an afternoon nap. Before I fell asleep, something made me feel like I had to keep my hand on her back (she slept on her tummy). I chose to listen to my feelings or what ever that was and kept my hand rested on her little back. While I was asleep, I experienced a very real "dream" of being in the same position we were in, asleep on my bed with my hand on my baby's back. Suddenly a large spirit hand of a man's came out of the air, trying to grab my daughter. All that was visible was that large hand. I felt like I was fighting him with my own energy to protect my daughter. Soon after, the hand disappeared and I woke up. Since then, I felt awfully paranoid for a while and wouldn't leave her alone for one second! (By Anonymous)
