Presenting, my

I recall one night when I finally had the time and mood to spiritually go check outside the Kawaihao Church that someone had asked of me because of some negative experiences in the area. Soon after arriving there, it was as if the palace was calling me and drawing my attention, so I turned to look and saw, as if the whole inside of the palace was shining a bright golden light that was strong, but soothing. I couldn’t resist so I went. When I arrived inside, there were a bunch of people in the lobby area fronting the staircase, and aunty came out of the throne room and looked at me, and I saw that she had this golden stick in her hand that, for some reason, was the purpose for that experience. It was golden and shiny, and it was the size of a pencil, and because it was so bright, I hadn’t an idea of what that was, or why it was ‘the reason’ for me being there and seeing that. Soon after, I conked out (fell asleep). That very next day, Phil (the “Obake Hunter”) and I was talking on the phone and I told him about that experience I had that night before. This is what he wrote on his Facebook about that, (December, 2010):Synchronicity and the Spirit World Is there a connection between the world of ghosts and the strange and sometimes startling concept known as "synchronicity"? Ask yourself these questions if you feel this has ever happened to you....Is there even a slight feeling like forces *at times* beyond our ability to fully define are trying to relay a message about the way we can be connected to everything around us? If given half the chance, do we honestly tune in and listen to the positive lay lines not only found on our planet but in our souls? Here then, if you believe this to be the case is a very short story about synchronicity and the way it can bring people and events together via the world of spirits that is constantly around us all.Last Wednesday I was browsing around contently in Kaneohe at a book sale feeling happy yet a bit melancholy, considering how more and more there may come a time when this wonderful world of buying traditional books could face extinction if the madness of technology's escalation of turning all things into a digital computerized format does not slow down....and sadly I don't see that happening any time soon, if ever. I had come across in the Hawaiiana section a nifty title of a book involving ghosts of Hawaii so I picked it up and did what any book lover would do and scanned its content for some of the more juicy parts in it. After a few seconds I decided this would be an excellent addition to my collection on ghost lore so it was added to my purchase for the evening. On my way home I began again to flip the pages once more and this time I settled in to read a few paragraphs on a page that randomly seemed to pull at me. In it the author spoke of one particular uncanny moment where he was drawn to a pen he had noticed at a friend's home. In the process he was overwhelmed by it and before he knew it he had picked it up and started to scribble with it. Later he found out it belonged to the ‘last reigning queen of Hawaii'. Soon after, the author began to ponder over the idea of what Liliuokalani had archived with it.Was it to write some of the more profound historical articles that helped shaped our island's legacy or an attempt to, at least? Maybe the ghost of its owner or so he may have felt was trying to communicate a message by getting his attention and the rest was a natural process. The point was he felt that moment transpired for a reason and a personal one to be sure and then in a much larger way.Flash forward to the following evening when I’m having one of my many enjoyable conversations with my spiritual consultant and we are deep into a discussion about a visit she had just had with the ghost of her majesty just mentioned in the book I read. I let her speak, feeling a tingle of surreal affinity and soon I knew why. In the course of her visit there she noticed a brilliant shaped object glowing in the hand of the queen about the size of a pencil. Needless to say, I was floored and I had to interrupt her and tell her what I had read the night she had this encounter.Ideas surged between her and me, but the one we agreed upon was something out there beyond our normal sense of reasoning was at work here and to this day I have not moved an inch away from our agreement on the matter. Beyond the scary traditional beliefs of a fixed perception on ghosts is there at work some type of relay system just waiting to be discovered? If so then synchronicity is the power used to try and deliver it Does synchronicity and the spirit world tie in? Ask yourself this. Why shouldn't it? Even if the message still awaits our ability to comprehend like all good things...They come to those who are willing to wait. (Written by, Phil, the "Obake Hunter")

In my experience, David Kalakaua is one whom I always enjoy being around. I’ve discovered him to be a gentleman, a down-to-earth person, and always seems to be in a good mood. When he walks, his gait is strong and paced. Just hearing his footsteps, you’ll know it’s him. Even his voice is pleasantly deep, mellow, and smooth… and needless to say, very captivating and comforting at the same time. Sometimes when aunty and I are sitting in her seemingly favorite area by the window, he comes in to talk to me just for a little while, while aunty is sitting there like a statue with a bored ‘stare ‘until he leaves. But he never stays long, just a short time. I just realized that he always bends down near the left of my seat to tell me whatever it is he came to tell me, (probably because there’s no chair close by, except the ones she and I was sitting on). When he’s done, he looks at her as he gets up, and I laugh because she’s still sitting there with that ‘bored stare’ on her face that she comes out of only when he’s walking out. I never thought she’d be this ‘funny’ but she sure does make me laugh. With those two, ‘he’ comes first, and she does respect that but evidently, isn’t always thrilled about it. From my perspective, Kalakaua seems to be a little bit more like a ‘business man’ than a king, and usually has several business men around or nearby (mostly white men), and always seem to be talking about some kind of ‘business’. Of all the times I’ve gone there, I’d say, 98% of the time he’s been on his side of the palace in his ‘office’. He is a very happy-go-lucky kind of guy, and I really enjoying being around him… “Uncle David”. Again, I don't quite know why I've been calling them 'aunty' and 'uncle'. I just began hearing myself (spirit) calling them that. I just ‘click’ naturally with them. I recall a visit when I was with hanging out with her, talking, and he came to ask if he could talk privately with me one day, so I said okay. After couple weeks or so, I had just gotten there one day, and aunty came out to meet me, and from behind her, he came walking toward us and told me, “Come with me,” and on her face, she gave a quick but intense scowl, showing her clenched teeth, then she walked away, and I laughed (again). He just ignored her. As we went into his chambers, he closed the door and I sat down, and he went to sit on the other side of his ‘desk’. He began asking me for my opinion about this man. I don’t know who he was but connecting with him, I ‘saw’ who he was asking me about, which was something to do with appointing him into ‘something’. I told him, “I don’t trust him. He’s the type you’ll have to sleep with one-eye open.” As soon as I said that, he quickly smiled and looked quite pleased, as if I confirmed him, or something. I don’t know. And, that’s all he wanted to know, and I didn’t bother to ask questions either. We stood up, he walked me out, and I went to go have my visit with, the funny Liliuokalani. Oh, almost forgot to mention one thing. As we were walking out of his ‘office’ I caught a glimpse of an older haole man, sitting way on the side in the dark with a cane, watching from the shadows. It was kind of creepy. I don’t think Kalakaua knew the guy was there but I really thought it was just him and me in the room. Well, he could’ve been ‘shielding’ himself because he did look a bit, like he was there, but wasn’t there. I guess a little different in appearance, you can say. That man sitting in the shadows ‘observing’, was Archibald Cleghorn.

During the more recent visits to the palace, sometimes there are a bunch of people in the lobby area fronting the staircase. I began noticing "Princess Ruth”, having recognized her from pictures. Having seen how she looks in pictures though, in spirit, she looked almost opposite, sensitive, soft-hearted, and sad. After just a few visits, she went from looking at me, to coming up to say ‘hi’ couple times, then finally asked if I’d meet with her one day, and when I told her, “Of course!” she smiled, and looking a bit relieved. I knew she was hoping that I’d be able to help her with something. I felt she was concerned sad about ‘somebody’ but I didn’t know “who”. And how she felt I’d be able to help her is something that some spirits just know, and some, don’t. (Back in my day, some of what I used to do a lot is rescue lost spirits as well as reunite them, so some spirits like her can sense that.)About a week or so when I was able to go to the palace, seems that visit was reserved for her and me, because aunty didn’t come out, and Ruth was standing in the main area waiting. (She must’ve felt when I’m coming, or at least, on my way there.) I went up to her and asked, “What’s wrong?” She said, “Come,” and she took me to a back room. As we entered the room, there were two young ladies in long white dresses that, to me, kinda looked like the old style cotton night gowns with the long sleeves, ruffles at the high neckline, and buttons, from what I could see. They were both at the window holding the 'shutters' open - one gal on each end - looking outside. The one on the right had long dark wavy hair and was part Hawaiian. The one on the left, however, caught my eye because she had long wavy 'light' colored hair, almost "ehu" colored. No streaks of color though, just light colored all around. They turned around to look at us when we entered the room, and that gal with the light colored hair was certainly part Hawaiian too. Thing is, she looked like Princess Ruth, just half haole. She didn’t exactly look like Ruth, but she looked so much that she could pass as her younger sister or even her daughter. (Looking online, I learned that she didn’t have any daughters. So who was that young lady that looked a lot like her, I have no idea. I just know what I saw. I should have asked Ruth who she was, but that was a very brief experience because as soon as we entered the room, she had them leave. And they left pretty quickly.) When the gals left, we sat and it seemed apparent that she waited a long time because what she had to say had kinda just poured out and I was having a hard time hearing what she was trying to say because all what she was saying with her strong but low whispery-like voice, just flew right past me. So I calmed her and asked if she could slow down so I can hear and understand her, and she did, but I was still having a hard time. So I held her hands and asked her to make me feel what she’s trying to tell me. Right away, I saw a tall man with dark short hair but stylishly long and wavy right on the top, and I immediately made the connection between the two, and I said, "Oh, you're looking for your husband??" And she said, "Yes! Yes!" Because of the wide age difference in their appearance at that time, I thought he was, perhaps a ‘son’, but no, it was her ‘husband’. (I later saw his picture same time when I searched for information if had any daughters, and though I’ve seen pictures of him before, I didn’t know ‘he’ was Princess Ruth’s ‘first’ husband.) She's been missing him so much, and somehow hasn't connected with him for, I don't know how long, but obviously, a ‘very long’ time. Now that I knew what was bothering her, I connected to 'him' and drew him to the palace. In a short time, he walked in from the makai end of the palace kinda slowly and looked puzzled as he stood on the side of the staircase (where I stood when I first visited the palace) on the opposite side from where we were, looking around. Like mentioned, I reunited spirits before, and I was excited with this reunion because she’s been sadly missing him for a very, very long time and I wanted to see her reaction when she saw him. So quickly, I grabbed her hand and told her, "Come!" We went out of the room and when she saw him, she stopped and gasped, like time briefly stopped at the palace, and at that moment, he turned to look our way and had the same reaction. She was speechless and surprisingly, as stunned as she was, she remained poised as she turned to look at me, and tears started filling her eyes, making me emotional. She just looked right me for a while, then whispered, "Thank you." The way she looked at me and the way she said those two words, definitely came from her soul. Certainly, one of ‘the’ most soulful expressions of gratitude any person or spirit has ever expressed. I couldn’t believe that she wanted to say more but I told her, “We’ll talk again,” but right now she has to hurry because he's waiting for her. So she hugged me and happily scurried over to him. After hugging they quickly left together. Princess Ruth is a strong, yet sensitive and loving person. What a lady.
