Hauntings - 4A Trapped Spirit in Waimanalo This incident happened in the mid 1970's at an old plantation house in Waimanalo, where my grandparents used to live. My grandmother (being bedridden many years after suffering a severe stroke), finally passed away in her room. My mom and I then moved in to keep my grandfather company. A couple of years later, we all moved out. Right after we left, my uncle moved into the house. Not long after, my uncle invited a friend of his who also brought his girlfriend along. They were drinking beer and talking stories, when the girlfriend had to use the bathroom. About a minute later she came running out of the bathroom screaming, "Something just grabbed my right arm and pulled it towards the shower stall!" *I later found out from my mom that because my grandmother could not use her legs or her left arm due to the stroke she suffered, my grandfather (or the nurse) always had to bathe her. When the bath was finished, my grandmother would have to use her right hand to grab the right forearm of the person that is bathing her. Then she would pull as hard as she could to lift herself up a couple inches so that the person could slide their other hand under her legs in order to carry her back to her room. A couple of months later, my uncle invited a different friend who also brought his girlfriend along. Same thing happened again but with a little twist. They were drinking beers and talking stories when the girlfriend had to use the bathroom. About a minute later she came out screaming hysterically saying, "A lady grabbed my right arm and was pulling it towards the shower!" During the few years that my uncle lived there, he said he never did experience anything unusual. However, during the - almost 2 years - that I stayed there, I have had a couple of intense experiences. I believe that because my grandmother suffered many years, her spirit could not move on and therefore was trapped in that house. I have since consistently prayed for her soul to be at rest. (By GeeBee) I don't have any pictures of this place as it is currently owned and occupied by a family. I was there house-sitting with a couple of friends and strange things began to happen. The house is in a gated two-story house and the backdrop is the undeveloped land near Waimanalo. Nothing really happened until the past couple days we were there. It all started with a glass tipping over and shattering when we were having dinner. Then the cat’s food dish just shattered. Later on that night, we joked with the family dog and the dog, Shadow, starting barking furiously and growling over my friend's head. This was when we started putting things together that things weren't ok. The dog would only sleep next to my friend who was a special needs person. After the other two went to sleep, my older friend and I were discussing all the strange things like the doors slamming, the cold chills, and the two broken glasses when we saw something in the reflection in the TV. It was a clear white smoky image though there was nothing to reflect the image or anything where the image was supposed to be. The next day, we were getting ready to clean up the house and go when a cup fell from a hook above some glasses and broke. We decided to leave earlier and then it got worst. Two neighborhood dogs came over and started barking at whatever was behind. Then the truck wouldn't start and the floors that we cleaned were dirty all over again. We were determined to leave that house no matter what! Finally, the truck got started and we were able to We never went back to the house or told the owners what happened. But the memories are still strong. This occurred during Admissions Day in 2001. (By Jonz) Hawaii Kai House Me and my cousins always go ghost busting, we call it ghost hunting, whenever I sleep over my cousins house (Ewa Beach) we always do that. People say that ghosts are fake but I think they are real. And I’ve had some experiences. It was this past summer of ‘08 and we all gathered in the living room and all of a sudden we heard a little girls voice laughing playfully, and this was at around 12:00 A.M. We knew that knew no little kid would be up or out this late. Right away, we all ducked under blankets. And in that same house I heard footsteps, light flickering, and cold chills up my arms.
