From the look and style of her clothes, I’d say from the late 70s or 80’s. She had dark hair that was just a little wavy that ran few inches longer than the top of her shoulders. She was a local gal, walking into the ocean along the right side of that rocky platform that sticks out toward the water. She was going to drown herself. As she walked more and more into the water, she turned around to look at me, then turned back around, took a few more steps, and disappeared. There were about 3-4 different groups of natives, one of which were Hawaiians. There was one group that was on that rocky platform facing the sea, except one man, who was sitting near the point with his back facing the sea. It was evident that he was the ‘speaker’ while the rest of the group was seated attentively before him. He, and some members of that group, particularly (or all) of the men had their faces painted. Each group seemed to take turns and ‘share’ time on that rocky platform while the others stood on the side in their own groups, watching. I don’t know what all that was about. (None of them saw me, having been ‘shielded’ from being detected.) While I found that to be a strange experience with several groups of Polynesian natives from different places, nonetheless, it was heartwarming to see how very happy they all looked, and how they were all getting along. Very, very nicely. Laie Point Laie Point There were several things I’ve experienced in this area: -I saw that there is a Hawaiian village that exists in the back of Sea Life Park and there are spirits that still occupy that village. -In the area where the church stands, which I was unaware that a church was built there (which goes to show how often I go up that side of the island) there was a wooden cross that stuck out of the ground. Because there is a church there now, certainly, that would make sense why I (spiritually) saw the cross. However, when I saw the cross, I naturally figured it was a “grave marker” – and it could very well be – all I remember now is that it was “a marker”. Of what? No idea. That’s all I knew. (*Phil and a few others went investigating one night at Makapuu and all the way fronting the Sea Life Park area, and told me that his friend Joe went across the highway near the church to investigate the area, not even knowing about the cross (I’ve never met Joe) and in the brush land, he stumbled upon a wooden cross sticking up from the ground, which he had taken a picture of, and later mentioned to Phil what he saw.) -Across the street nearby there, there was a pretty young lady with a long white dress and long white hair standing on the side of the road looking out to the ocean. She knew I was there watching her, but she didn’t turn to look at me, nor did she say anything. Because I saw the cross soon before seeing her, made me wonder if she was buried or died there. -I also remember, either seeing or feeling (or both) that something was cut through to build the highway. Evidently like so many other places around the island. It just seemed like something rather significant. -There is a nice heiau there that I experienced. The people there were quite delightful. I stood in the heiau talking with an elder (or village chief), along with several others listening to our conversation. Where I stood, I faced the Makapuu lighthouse direction and he stood in front of me to my right facing the ocean. He told me it’s a (sea) hunting village, and though that is great, I also saw that there was a human sacrifice there where they laid a young man on a long pohaku (rock) and ‘sacrificed’ him. It didn’t feel negative, but same time someone was sacrificed, so I’m a little confused by that. Soon, I saw fire torches coming up to the heiau... "night marchers". Really awesome to see. This is how I knew the heiau was on a heightened parcel of land because as the night marchers were from the Makapuu lighthouse direction (toward me), they were walking along a path that was slanted upward (not too much upward), then next thing you know they were inside the heiau. They were ‘sea hunters’. The leader of the group was first one up and came to talk with us. I asked what they caught and he gave me a short list, end with, “… and turtle.” I said, “TURTLE??” Hearing “turtle” really caught me off-guard because, I know people eat turtle, it’s just that it never entered my mind that Hawaiians ate turtle too. (I’m so ‘lame’ sometimes.) One other thing I noticed with this heiau is it looked really ‘nice’ because the rock wall that outlined the heiau was like a nice and shiny black. I dunno, maybe because it was near the ocean the ocean spray kept the rocks damped or something…?In the photo, I marked the areas where I had the above experiences. Note that the areas are approximate, except for the Hawaiian village. In the area where I marked with an “X?” is I thought maybe the heiau is in that area or another one (?) because ‘something’ is there. Maybe it has to do with what the highway crossed over. Sometimes when I’m spiritually out, my compass may be a little off, so the area where the heiau is, is approximate. (Pictures are linked to its site for proper credit and larger views.) Makapuu – Sea Life Park Makapuu – Sea Life Park A descriptive look into what is spiritually out there… A descriptive look into what is spiritually out there… Back Back Pounders Beach Pounders Beach Phil, Wayne, and several others were going to do some field work at Pounder’s Beach in Laie one night, so I thought I’d spiritually take a look before then. When I got there, I saw a rather big group of Hawaiian natives, some with fire torches. It was obvious that something was going to take place, nothing violent or negative, but more like some kind of ceremony. Then a Hawaiian warrior, very nicely motioned if I could go further down to the beach side, which I gladly and respectfully obliged, figuring what was about to go on was “private”. So I walked down to the beach area that was in the vicinity fronting the parking lot, and could see that there were more Hawaiian natives coming from the valley nearby – night marchers - to attend whatever was going to soon take place. But my attention then shifted. From the highway direction, there came a lady walking by toward the sea, wearing a long sleeved black dress with a full skirt, and at the top of the upright neck collar of her dress had a bit of white trim (kind of like a priest’s collar, for example). It was obvious that she was from the 1800-1900s kind of era and she looked European, though I’m not positive that she was. She looked downward at the ground as she walked past me, and her hair was dark that ran past her shoulders. She had sad eyes. Apparently, there is a story about a tragedy that took place there years ago. Here is an excerpt from http://www.hauntspot.com/haunt/usa/hawaii/pounders-beach.shtm: POUNDER'S BEACHOn a winter's night, when the surf was at its most powerful, a mother was looking for her child. Over the sound of the pounding waves she could faintly hear her child's screams. She then saw her child struggling against the waves and the under current dragging her child into the open ocean. Knowing she was not strong enough to brave the waves herself she began to frantically yell and wave at a group of surfers down the beach. However, they could not hear her over the crashing waves. The mother was afraid to run down the beach to get them because she may have lost visual contact with her child. Her child's screams had stopped and the mother knew she had to do something. Having a good idea of her fate, she fought against the waves in hopes of finding her child. On that night both mother and child drowned. Today, both the mother and child haunt Pounder's beach. People have reported that you can hear the child's screams. At other times you can hear the sound of the child running around you in the sand. Late at night, people have reported that they have seen the ghost of the mother looking for her child. The ghost has also confronted people. Apparently, she has anger towards the living because of the lack of help she received on the night of her death. The ghost can also be heard wailing for her child.Having heard this story before, at first, it did make me wonder if the lady in black was the mother of that child. (I’m not sure, but I really don’t think so.) Little later, I saw her somewhere nearby, bent down on the ground, reflectively looking at this cement slab that was roughly, about 18” x 24” in size. Then she stood up and began walking to go back from where ever she came, and as she passed me, she looked at me and smiled, so we talked for a little bit. She didn’t seem so sad now but alright, as if she goes through that depressed ritual at the beach then goes back. While we talked, I saw that she had that kind of space or gap between her two front teeth. Soon, she began heading back, and as she started walking away, I asked, “By the way, what’s your name?” She turned her head to me, smiled, and said, “Porter”. And then she was gone.
